Lactalis Implicated in Recalls

Multinational dairy company Lactalis previously the subject of a long-running Salmonella outbreak associated with baby formula is once again involved in recalls.  Cheese contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes produced by a subsidiary Lactalis McLelland has been recalled by the UK Food Standards Agency.

 

A second incident involves recall of milk and derived products in Australia produced by Lactalis Australia Ltd.  In this case contamination with a disinfectant and concurrently E. coli is responsible for action by the Food Standards Australian New Zealand Agency.
