AEB Participates in UAE Food Exhibition


The AEB participated in the 8th Annual International East Coast Salon Culinaire at the Miramar Beach Resort in the Emirate of Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.  The event attracted 400 participants including vendors and visitors.  A culinary contest is a major feature of the Salon.

During the program the AEB presented a class on practical cooking of U.S. eggs and arranged a booth at the event. 


For the first six month of 2019, the Middle East imported 2.3 million dozen eggs valued at $2.2 million, approximately 30 percent less in both volume and value compared to the first half of 2018.  Continual promotion demonstrating the quality and versatility of U.S. shell eggs and egg products is necessary to promote exports in the face of competition from the EU, Ukraine and India.
