USAPEEC Presents Educational Programs


USAPEEC representatives in Mexico cooperated with the Mexican Meat Processors Council to present the first of two seminars to inspectors and customs officials in the Port of Manzanillo on the Pacific Coast. Imported chicken from both the U.S. and Brazil enters Mexico through this port. The focus of the meeting was Preserving the Cold Chain with Technical Consultant Jose Samperio as the instructor.  Copies of the USDA-Food Safety Inspection Service, Safety and Security Guidelines for Transportation and Distribution of Meat Poultry, and Egg Products were distributed to participants.


According to USAPEEC a second seminar will be held at the Cuidad Juarez, Import Point in mid- August.
