Trends and technology in U.S. food displayed at Mexico City Exhibition


The weekly USAPEEC MondayLine reported on U.S. participation in a trade show in Mexico organized by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service Agricultural Trade Office. The event drew ten exhibitors from the U.S. and about 100 attendees.

The objective was to show trends and technology, and USAPEEC with promotion of the benefits of dried egg   products for the baking and confectionery industries. Attributes of U.S. products were emphasized including quality, safety, functional properties ease of preparation of recipes containing eggs and cost.

During the first seven months of 2019 Mexico received 3,619 m. tons of egg products in various forms representing 20 of volume and and 15 percent of value shipped.
