USDA-APHIS will award $380,000 for cooperative projects benefiting tribal regions.  Funding will be provided by the National Animal Disease Preparedness and Response Program and will be in addition to the previously awarded $830,000.

Selected projects include education and training on biosecurity procedures to enhance poultry and swine health and the delivery of community-based disease detection in the event of outbreaks of emerging or foreign animal diseases.
