Status of 2019 Corn and Soybean Crops

07/01/2019

The USDA Crop Progress Report released July 1st documented complete planting of corn and progress in soybeans after a slow start that is expected to negatively impact yields as denoted by current crop condition. High topsoil moisture levels are evident in comparison with the corresponding week in 2018. CHICK-NEWS and EGG-NEWS will report on the progress of the two major crops as monitored by the USDA through the end of the 2019 harvest in October.
