Los Angeles County to Limit Roosters on Properties

In an attempt to reduce cock-fighting the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted to limit the number of roosters that can be held on any property in unincorporated County areas based on lot size.  Up to ten cockerels can be kept on large lots with up to 25 subject to a license to run an animal facility.

It is evident that the intent of this ordinance is to limit cock-fighting and it has no direct bearing on the ongoing outbreak of END in Los Angeles County and adjacent Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties.
